Aja-founded coastal kingdom in southern Benin that dominated the Slave Coast before Dahomey conquered it in 1724.

Conquered by the Kingdom of Dahomey under King Agaja in 1724, who sacked the capital and slaughtered its warriors and citizens in a three-day campaign, ending Allada as an independent polity; remnant royalty subordinated to Dahomey, though a branch of the royal family founded the successor Kingdom of Porto-Novo.
