An archaeological culture of the middle and upper Dnieper basin (3rd-5th centuries AD), widely considered the earliest identifiable Slavic archaeological culture, contemporary with and just north of the Gothic Chernyakhov culture.

Gradually transformed into, and is regarded as ancestral to, the early Slavic cultures (e.g. Prague-Korchak/Penkovka) that emerge from the 5th-6th centuries as Slavic populations begin their own historically-recorded expansion.
