Baloch Talpur raisat in upper Sindh, founded by Mir Sohrab Khan, nephew of the Mir Fateh Ali Khan who overthrew the Kalhoras in 1783. Tribute to Kabul lapsed around 1813 during the Barakzai troubles. Alone among the Sindh Mirs, Khairpur's Mir Ali Murad backed the British in the First Afghan War, which is why it survived the conquest of 1843 as a princely state while the Hyderabad Talpurs did not.
Survived Napier's conquest of Sindh (1843) as a 15-gun-salute princely state by treaty; acceded to Pakistan 3 Oct 1947 and was extinguished into West Pakistan on 14 Oct 1955.
