A loosely affiliated Bronze Age tribal confederation of non-Indo-European peoples in the mountainous East Pontic zone of northern Anatolia, perennial adversaries of the Hittite Empire.

Defeated by Assyrian king Tiglath-Pileser I in the late 12th century BCE and disappear from all historical records thereafter; groups may have migrated north-east toward the Caucasus.
