An ancient Indian kingdom centered on Varanasi (Kashi), one of the Mahajanapadas, which was gradually absorbed by Kosala around 600 BCE.

The Kashi kingdom (modern Varanasi region) was conquered by Kosala in the 6th century BCE and subsequently absorbed into Magadha as part of the broader consolidation of the Gangetic plain, disappearing as an independent polity by c. 500 BCE.
