Kalachuris of Tripuri (Later Kalachuris / Kalachuris of Chedi)

675 – 1212
DynastyAsia

A central Indian dynasty, also called the Kalachuris of Chedi or Dahala, that ruled the Dahala-mandala (Baghelkhand) region from their capital at Tripuri for over five centuries, reaching its zenith under Lakshmikarna in the 11th century.

Declined after Lakshmikarna's successors lost their northern territories to the Gahadavalas; the last known ruler, Trailokyamalla, reigned to at least 1212, after which former Kalachuri lands passed to the Paramaras and Chandelas.
