The Alaskan branch of the Haida, who crossed Dixon Entrance from Haida Gwaii in the 1700s to settle the southern end of Prince of Wales Island.

Smallpox and consolidation reduced six villages to two; Hydaburg formed in 1912 from Howkan, Klinkwan and Sukkwan, and with Kasaan the Kaigani Haida endure under the Haida Corporation and Sealaska to 2026.
