5000 BC – 1500 BC
CultureAsia

Korean prehistoric era spanning c.8000–1500 BCE, encompassing Mesolithic and Neolithic phases and named for its distinctive comb-patterned pottery; often called the 'Korean Neolithic.'

The Jeulmun pottery period ended around 1500 BCE as the Mumun pottery period began, reflecting the arrival of new agricultural populations and bronze-using cultures from the continent that replaced the earlier hunter-gatherer and semi-agricultural Jeulmun communities.
