Bhati Rajput desert kingdom of far-western Rajputana, ruled by Maharawals from the fort Rawal Jaisal raised in 1156; it lived off the caravan trade crossing the Thar until sea routes killed it.
Subsidiary alliance with the East India Company on 12 December 1818; acceded to India on 15 August 1947 and merged into Rajasthan on 30 March 1949.
