Kingdom of the Saka (Indo-Scythian) peoples who migrated from Central Asia into Bactria and the northwest Indian subcontinent; Maues (c. 85-60 BCE) was its first king, conquering Gandhara and Taxila from the Indo-Greeks.

Splintered among regional Saka satraps; its western/central Indian successor line continued as the Western Satraps into the 4th-5th centuries CE, while its northern holdings passed to the Indo-Parthians and Kushans.
