Iceni

100 BC – 61
CultureEurope

Brittonic tribal kingdom of East Anglia, a Roman client kingdom under King Prasutagus whose death triggered the famous revolt of Queen Boudica against Roman rule in 60-61 CE.

Boudica's revolt burned Camulodunum, Londinium, and Verulamium before being crushed by governor Suetonius Paulinus; the Iceni kingdom was fully absorbed into the Roman province of Britannia thereafter.
