Hyksos (Fifteenth Dynasty)

Levantine-origin rulers who governed Lower Egypt from Avaris during the Second Intermediate Period.

The Hyksos Fifteenth Dynasty was defeated and expelled from Egypt by Ahmose I of Thebes c. 1550 BCE; Avaris, their capital, was captured and destroyed, ending Hyksos rule in Egypt.
