Hellenic State (Axis-occupied Greece)

The Axis collaborationist state in occupied Greece (1941-1944), run by the quisling governments of Tsolakoglou, Logothetopoulos and Rallis under German and Italian occupation zones - Germany holding Athens, Salonika, Crete and the Turkish frontier strip, Italy most of the mainland until its 1943 collapse, after which Germany took over the whole zone.

Dissolved with the German withdrawal from mainland Greece in October 1944 (Athens liberated 12 October 1944); the Greek government-in-exile returned and the Kingdom of Greece was restored.
