Xiongnu-Chuge state founded by Liu Yuan after Western Jin's collapse, the first of the Sixteen Kingdoms; renamed from 'Han' to 'Zhao' by Liu Yao in 319, hence 'Han-Zhao' or 'Former Zhao' in historiography.
Destroyed in 329 by its former general Shi Le, founder of the rival Later Zhao.
