Zirid offshoot ruling the central Maghreb from the Qal'a of the Beni Hammad and Béjaïa.

The Hammadid Dynasty was conquered by the Almohad Caliphate in 1152: Abd al-Mu'min captured Béjaïa in August 1152 and the last emir Yahya ibn Abd al-Aziz surrendered on 10 November 1152, dying in comfortable exile in Salé in 1163.
