Gwich'in

The northernmost Dene, caribou hunters of the Mackenzie delta and the Porcupine River country straddling the Yukon–NWT line.

The Gwich'in (1992) and Vuntut Gwitchin (1993) land-claim and self-government agreements secured their lands; they defend the Porcupine caribou herd and persist to 2026.
