Late Bronze Age/Iron Age culture of northern Italy south of the Alps (Lombardy/Piedmont, between the Po, Serio and Sesia rivers), associated with early Celtic (Lepontic) and Ligurian populations; a documented influence on the later La Tène art style.
Gradually absorbed into the wider Celtic (Insubres/Cisalpine Gaul) and then Roman orbit of northern Italy by the 4th century BC.
