German-Occupied Serbia (Nedic Government)

1941 – 1944
ColonyEurope

The German military occupation zone in the Yugoslav partition - officially the Territory of the Military Commander in Serbia - covering pre-1912 Serbia, the Banat, and northern Kosovo; nominally administered from 29 August 1941 by General Milan Nedic's collaborationist Government of National Salvation, which never received international recognition.

Collapsed as the Red Army and Yugoslav Partisans swept in: the Nedic government was dissolved on 4 October 1944 and Belgrade was liberated on 20 October 1944; the territory passed to Tito's Democratic Federal Yugoslavia.
