Somali sultanate of the lower Shabelle that dominated the southern Benadir trade.
Incorporated into Italian Somaliland in 1908 when Italian forces occupied the Geledi capital; Sultan Osman Ahmed (Cusmaan) retained nominal authority until his death, variously dated c. 1910 or the early 1920s, after which the Geledi confederation was dissolved into Italian administrative units.
