French India

Scattered French colonial enclaves on the Indian subcontinent - chiefly Pondicherry, Chandernagore, Yanam, Mahe, and Karikal.

De facto transferred to the Indian Union on 1 November 1954; de jure cession only completed in 1962 when the French Parliament ratified the treaty.
