1000 BC – 1800
CultureOceania

The indigenous Austronesian/Melanesian people of the Fiji Islands, descended from Lapita-culture voyagers who settled the archipelago roughly 3,000+ years before present; continuous population and culture (chiefly systems, land tenure, language) through to the present.

Not an ending: the iTaukei remain the indigenous majority of Fiji. The map hands off to the unified Kingdom (1871) and Colony (1874) of Fiji.
