Fatagar

Historical Muslim principality of the medieval Horn of Africa that separated the Muslim and Christian dominions; part of the Muslim states by the 11th century, it was invaded and subjugated by Emperor Amda Seyon I in the early 14th century and later became a central district of the Ethiopian Empire.

Integrated as a core Ethiopian imperial province by the 15th century (home to multiple emperors); overrun during the Oromo migrations of the mid-16th century alongside Dawaro, Hadiya, Bale, Damot and Bizamo.
