Erivan Khanate

A khanate covering most of present-day central Armenia, known historically as Chukhur-e Sa'd, established after Nader Shah's death; a Qajar-Iranian border province until the Russian conquest sealed by the Treaty of Turkmenchay in 1828.

Ceded to the Russian Empire by the Treaty of Turkmenchay (1828) after the Russo-Persian War of 1826–1828; abolished and merged into the new Armenian Oblast of Russia.
