Dungarpur State (Ahariya Sisodia)

Senior Bagar state of southernmost Rajputana, held by the Ahariya branch of the Guhilot/Sisodia line descended from Mahup, disinherited elder son of a Mewar chief; its Maharawals ruled a hill country largely peopled by Bhils, and it split from Banswara in the early sixteenth century along the Mahi.

Acceded to India on 15 August 1947 and merged into Rajasthan on 25 March 1948.
