Greenland under direct Danish rule, from Hans Egede’s 1721 mission and the re-establishment of a Danish colonial presence, through its 1953 constitutional integration as a county (amt) of the Kingdom of Denmark, until home rule in 1979.

Granted home rule on 1 May 1979, becoming the autonomous territory now recorded as modern Greenland.
