Kingdom founded by Zheng Maisi, Nanzhao's chief minister (buxie), who massacred the Meng royal family in 902 and usurped the throne, ruling from Nanzhao's old capital at Yangjumie (modern Dali). First of three short-lived successor kingdoms between Nanzhao's collapse and the Dali Kingdom's founding in 937.
Overthrown in 928 by the Bai noble Yang Ganzhen, who installed Zhao Shanzheng as ruler of the successor state Datianxing.
