Cochise Tradition

5000 BC – 200 BC
CultureNorth America

A long-lived Archaic hunter-gatherer tradition of the southwestern United States and northern Mexico, ancestral to both the Hohokam and Mogollon cultures.

Dissolved around 200 BCE as the long-lived Archaic Cochise Tradition gave way to its successor cultures, the Mogollon and Hohokam, which emerged out of its later San Pedro phase.
