Wikipedia's overview extends the culture from c. 700 CE to Spanish-era settlement, but the well-documented 'classic phase' — the period archaeologists describe in most detail — runs to c. 1360 CE, when a catastrophic El Niño flood event devastated its coastal settlements; the exact degree of post-flood continuity into later Lupaca/Inca-era occupation of the same valleys is not sharply resolved in the sources checked (see flag below).
