An Oghuz Turkic beylik founded by Şemseddin Yaman Candar Bey in Paphlagonia (north-central Anatolia's Black Sea coast), later known as the Isfendiyarids after a 15th-century ruler; controlled the Kastamonu-Sinop region for over a century and a half.
Incorporated into the Ottoman Empire by Sultan Mehmed II in 1461.
