1295 – 1740
KingdomAfrica

Early Akan trading state, a forerunner of the later Asante kingdom.

The Bono State (Bono-Manso) was conquered and sacked by the Asante Empire in 1722–1723 under Asantehene Opoku Ware I; the royal lineage was re-established in Techiman under Asante suzerainty by approximately 1740, but the independent state ceased to exist after the 1722–1723 conquest.
