Bikaner State (Rathore)

Rathore Rajput kingdom in the arid Jangladesh tract of north-western Rajputana, founded by Rao Bika, a younger son of Rao Jodha of Marwar, around the desert city of Bikaner.

Became a British protectorate in 1818 and acceded to the Dominion of India in 1949 (merged into Rajasthan).
