Germiyanids (Beylik of Germiyan)

1300 – 1429
Sovereign stateAsia

A Turkish Anatolian beylik centered on Kütahya in western Anatolia that gained sovereignty as the Sultanate of Rum collapsed; a major regional power whose territory passed to the Ottomans largely through a royal dowry marriage in the 1370s-80s rather than outright conquest.

The last independent ruler Yakub II, lacking male heirs, willed the beylik to the Ottoman sultan Murad II upon his death in 1429.
