Semi-autonomous Berber people of northern Morocco (Mauretania Tingitana), whose long series of formal agreements with Roman governors is documented by bilingual inscriptions at Volubilis; their princes later received the title rex.

Became fully independent by c. 280 CE as the Roman administration evacuated Volubilis; absorbed into the post-Roman Berber political landscape of Morocco.
