Second of the four major Huna ("White Hun"-adjacent) states, ruling Bactria/Paropamisadae and then expanding into Gandhara, Punjab, and Central India (as far as Eran and Kausambi); their invasion helped topple the Kidarites and contributed to the Gupta Empire's decline.
Gradually displaced and succeeded in its core territory by the Nezak Huns (Hindu Kush) and the Hephthalites (Bactria/Tokharistan) through the 6th-7th centuries; remnants persisted regionally into the mid-7th century.
