The Islamic-ruled territory of the Iberian Peninsula, encompassing the Umayyad Emirate and Caliphate of Córdoba, the most sophisticated civilization in medieval Europe at its height.

Ended in 1492 when the Emirate of Granada, the last Muslim polity in Iberia, surrendered to the Catholic Monarchs Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella I of Castile, completing the Reconquista.
