Declined and collapsed in the late 17th century as tributary revolts brought it down; the Muzaffar clients in Mogadishu were ousted by the Hiraab Imamate, and former general Ibrahim Adeer founded the rival Gobroon/Geledi dynasty — by the early 1700s no trace of Ajuran political authority remained in Banaadir.
