Ahar-Banas culture

Chalcolithic archaeological culture (c. 3000-1500 BC) of the Banas, Berach, and Ahar river valleys in southeastern Rajasthan, India, contemporary with and adjacent to the Indus Valley Civilisation. Its people mined and worked copper ore from the Aravalli Range and grew wheat and barley.

Continued into the mid-2nd millennium BC before merging into successor Chalcolithic and early historic cultures of Rajasthan; no abrupt collapse recorded.
