Confederation of Greek city-states in the northern and central Peloponnese, refounded 280 BCE and expanded under leaders like Aratus of Sicyon and Philopoemen to become the dominant power in Greece before Rome.

Provoked the Achaean War with Rome; crushed at the Battle of Corinth in 146 BCE, after which Rome dissolved the League and destroyed Corinth as an example.
